The old Biosca (Escorpion) knitwear factory was built in 1927 and extended at various times. In 1961 the architect Joan Bassegoda Nonell built the unit on Calle Sant Antoni de Baix.

After several difficulties, the Escorpion brand founded in 1929 by Josep Biosca Riera continues to be a reference in women’s fashion, now led by the founder’s great-grandson, Bernat Biosca, and with a new factory very close to the first one (on Calle del Rec, 96).
